Share your work!
We know that many of you are doing exciting projects and using the arts in fresh and interesting ways. Let us hear about it!
From arts educators, we’re interested to hear about successful class projects, hear what made the students respond and see examples of their work. From non-arts teachers, we want to hear how you have used the arts to engage your students in a more immediate and meaningful way in literacy, math, science and other subjects. We also want to hear (and see!) especially from elementary school teachers, how arts creativity transforms the look of your classroom itself. From schools, we want to hear about interesting artist visits you had, or ways that you involved your students in creating art together. Even how you creatively used your hallway spaces! From arts organizations in the community, we’d like to hear about your special programs, especially when you’ve linked up with schools.
We also want to hear directly from students. What have you been working on in the arts that has excited you? Be sure to let us know your age, grade and where you attend school.
There’s a lot to share. Please email me (spotters@maineartsed) with your story and whatever links, photos or Youtube videos that will let you share it more fully with us. We’ll try to put up as many as we can on a continuing basis.
To be a sharing member of our Maine alliance we do ask that you become an actual member. Click here to join. Membership is $10 for college students click here, and is free for high school students, (link to sign-up coming soon). For the rest of us non-students the annual MAAE membership fee is $30, which can be paid in quarterly increments.* If that is more than you can afford let us know and we’ll try to find a sponsor. Thank you!
*Schools can be members if the reporting administrator, teacher or parent is a member.
